Home Depot takes deliveries at midnight?

    Yeah....

Tell me about it. I couldn't make their job any easier. I open the bay door myself. I unload the freight myself. All they have to do is sign their name, yet STILL they conveniently disappear.

    Marksteven and NavigatorWife Thank this.

Sounds like a place I deliver to in Evanston, IL, only I usually have to at least help clear the cooler, and always have to help count. It works faster if I get there early and do it myself, midnite would be great because the on duty manager usually doesn't question, just signs for it and the count is always subject, anyway.

Some retail stores are like that. You can have several employees at the bad door, and if you ring/knock they just walk away and don't even tell a manager. Don't take it personally, they do it to all the drivers. Best you can do is walk around front and go through front entrance, ask for manager.

To be very honest with you folks, i still shop at HD. I'm a veteran and have a VA I.D. card. This qualifies as a Veterans discount every time you shop there on anything you buy. I dont know if Lowes offers the same????

When I worked at grocery receiving at Walmart, we had keys for the back doors. Some stores don't give the receiving associates keys.

I get 10% off with my blue ID at every lowes I've been too. Some HD's don't honor that discount.

There is a Home Depot in Columbia, MO. I needed a place to park one night. The manager of the place let me park in what is now his garden area. He then offer to take me to dinner. I was not delivering anything to him, I was just out of hours. I am sorry that some folks have had a bad time with them but I can't bring myself to stop shopping with them. Of course, I don't spend more the $100 a year there. I am a poor truck driver after all.

I dont blame you, regardless of how they treat us i still shop at HD, i can walk to the store in a decent day. As far as Lowes, i only deliver a handful of pella windows once a week. they are helpful and freindly there but the store doesnt compare to HD
