last year i was buying watermelons 2 for $5.00 id truck them up north and sell them for $2.50 ea . i lost a ton of money. my buddy told me he has an accountant i should talk with. very smart guy. so i did . this accountant look over all my paper work from last year and said he see the problem. all i need to do is buy a bigger trailer.

Haha sorry but it's not so hard to figure out why you were losing money.
Buying 2 for $5.00 (that's $2.50 a piece)
Trucking them up north (that could be a lot of fuel cost)
Them selling them for $2.50 (or 2 for $5).
But buying a bigger trailer....that'll do the trick

The last melon I bought at the grocery store was $3. Usually retailers mark stuff up double. Id say it's hard to make a profit anything more than $2.
If someone wanted to do entrepreneur work like that I know some guys that will load firewood here where I live and truck it to Atlanta 150 miles away and sell it for $85 a rick like hot cakes at the farmer's market. I think they sell it for $100 a rick retail. The guys here will cut it, split it and load it for $30 a rick. That's $2150 gross for 2-3 days work. I could imagine what firewood would bring out west. That's one thing I didn't understand my last trip to Vegas is why many houses have fireplaces. Where do they get their wood? I guess they burn cacti!
