How are they messing up your contract now? I've been hearing about YRC too but Reddaway is still doing good. Of course we make 10 cpm less!

They made a a new position call Linehaul driver. They say that will eliminate the sub contractors but is also their way of still paying for dirt cheap labor
-
I thought UPS freight had either P&D drivers or line haul already? No? Did the new contract bring a raise in pay? -
Clarify: Fed Ex wins the confusion award.

Yes we did @ UPSF. Apply and find out more details
-
Well still sounds better than what's going on over at YRC. ACH, you got going when the going was good!!!
-
5 year contract, supposedly we would be Highest paid "company" job. Apply now @ UPSF before it ends ( always does )
Could be smoke and mirrors, I have no exact numbers what USPS/Wallyworld drivers make.
ETA: YRC just seen the recent news.
heres a link.

They re worded what we do now. It's now city P&D, Road Drivers (what we do now), and a Line haul driver position(lower rate than current), supposedly its a position made to eliminate or greatly reduce the current outside carriers pulling our freight . I personally don't see it happening and am not too pleased, hopefully Im wrong in my thinking.
Yes there was a raise involvedHalpinUout Thanks this. -
Wait what? They want to get rid of the bottom feeders by creating a new position with lower pay? How much lower is that going to be? And how does a linehaul driver become a road driver? and what is a "road driver"? Do you bid on a set route or do you guys run wild and sleep at the red roof inn until you get home at the end of the week?

Everything is confusing. Just call us Fed Up about job description ( lame joke )
I'm confused and still scheduled to work in about 19 hrs, all I care about. low man below the totem pole working, I'll dig the hole for the pole too maintain my previous hours ( brown nosing )
I'm here all week. thank you audience, order another drink. -
The new Line Haul position appears to be a "wild" run. No clear explanation on it. I see it as another way for them to cut bid runs.
