Roehl Driver Check In Continued

west Memphis we got chikin feed, commercial company, cab shop, idle air, BBQ man.....full service.. I know drivers that are scared to goto such places lol. last time I was there I spared some water and food supplies to an equity driver who was calling it quits...no money, he still had truck, fuel card shut down...I don't give out money but he was looking for bus fair.

 

I've actually parked there several times. Even went on walks to places near by. But that was before I was told to be scared.

 

Been a fun week. Last 3/4 was spent hauling reefers. Checking in at home.

 

I hate it when that happens. How'd you get on reefer?

Gary TA, was unsure if 912 is open yet and fm didn't sound real sure either. no signs but I didn't want to get all screwed if its still shutdown....snowing right now

 

Nuttin to it. Got the preplan and then approved it. They know I was trained by a reefer driver anyway. LOL. And I told em earlier last month, I was fine doing favors time to time, hauling reefer.

Got Gary ordering a load bar rack to install, just in case--it's not so irregular.

Heard a big wreck on I65 in IN tonight. Fox News reported a while ago.

 

Didn't know that West Memphis was a dangerous area. Had no problems there.

Now at Flying J just east of Texarkana. Got here at 1600 and the place was already packed...was lucky to get a spot after someone pulled out. Almost out of hours on my 70, gain 4:17 at midnight...will drive a little farther towards Houston tomorrow....

 

In Neenah overnight. Real bad wreck on I-65 today. Hope nobody was seriously hurt. I'm headed that way tomorrow on my way to Georgia.

I heard about that also. I drove down I-65 last Thursday and it was about the same. There was even a wreck near Lafayette then, as this one was...though not as bad. The terrain around there makes it pretty nasty when it's snowing.

 

#2 @ 75...thought about defecting to Canada but its cold and I have a chauffer so I guess its no 2 west to lambeau tomorrow.

I have no fear of west Memphis

how warm is it in Texas techno? so jealous...

i65 Lafayette, seems like that was the area where I saw that blue container on its side in the middle during the first big chill.
