I work for them as a company driver. Just spoke to an o/o and he said both sides can break the contract at any time. You give them back the truck and that's it.

What that O/O thinks and what the contract actually says may be two very different things.
The OP should have a lawyer look at the contract to see exactly what he/she can do.baha Thanks this. -
AMAZING! You make (probably) the second largest purchase of your entire life, a decision that will effect your income and livelihood for at least 3 years. It will most certainly effect your credit for at least 7 years... You did that without seeing the need to spend $200 to have a lawyer read and interoperate the minutia of a contract that was written by lawyers?
That right there is the first clue that you are NOT a businessman. Sorry to be crass, but being a truck driver does not mean you are ready to be a company owner (which is what you are).Moosetek13 Thanks this. -
Just take your truck somewhere else, that can affect needed repairs quicker ...

Not sure of your Contractual agreement or whether or not you own the truck..... but I'm guessing it's theirs and your lease purchasing the unit if you are in fear of breaking the contract. But here's my ADVISE and my personal opinion.. If it's their truck and you are having that MANY issues with the truck then LEAVE IT AND WALK AWAY... You see, and you can take this from a 40 year old o/o, there are times when it just doesn't make financial sense to STAY in something that is COSTING you money versus what your brining home... There are TOO many trucks sitting on lots across this great ole USA for you to burden yourself with a company or a piece of equipment! PERIOD!! Be honest with yourself... You obviously aren't making ANY/ENOUGH money so it's more of a burden KEEPING the truck than it is GIVING it back and walking away with a sane mindset.. You can always get another truck.. You may not think so at this very moment but if you got that one then you can get another one.. Again, I'm not sure of your situation other than what you have posted here but it sounds like you've just had a hard 18 month spell... and honestly, any company that has company trucks and lease units will always favor the company units anyway.. That's just the way the cookie crumbles... But what puzzles me a little is the fact that your having to bring the truck in to THEM for repairs... Which leads me to another question.. Are you doing that because they just repair the truck and then bill from your next settlement which keeps you from coming out of pocket for repairs? If that's not the case then why not take the truck to a reputable shop and have it repaired in a timely fashion??? Other than that, it sounds like it's time to hand in the keys.. because staying out and driving for extended periods of time and not seeing your bank account increase is just a plain ole WASTE of your time... If I'm making any sense to you...
