Part of the reason the court ruled against speed limiters is the law can't be effectively enforced . The device MOT uses can check set speed but not parameters . They would have to buy diagnostic tools from each engine manufacturer to be able to do that and they aren't willing to do that . False gear ratios , tire sizes , and other entries could allow a truck to appear to be limited at 65 m.p.h. but allow it to run faster .

Uh, not sure what that's about but sounds like a recipe for disaster to an already electrical nightmare.

For 5 years I ran all Provinces but BC with a 270 in wb tractor and a 42 ft double drop with no problem, I was 64 ft 5 inches and had to be under 65 ft 6 in to be legal in SK and An.

trucks registered in Quebec and Ontario are not required to be set at 65, all trucks regardless of where they are registered must be limited while in those provinces.... mine is wide open, I live in quebec, registered in quebec. the law only states when you enter speed limiter must be turned on.... we can open them up the second we leave

For now there seems to be an issue with NAFTA that the mental midgets in Ont and queerbec overlooked, they may be in violation of NAFTA and may be looking at some stiff sanctions.
