I run Hydro RGN's. I really beleive that the ease of use and not being so harsh on your tractor when picking up a heavy load far outwieghs the added weight and maintinance on them.
281ric Thanks this. -
do you run local ,regional ?
-
I've run Mech. for a lot of years. Now the one I'm pulling is Hyd. Like Haulhand stated it's easier picking up the trl. off the ground and not as hard on the drive line and trk, But in the frozen north it will take a while for the oil to get warm to work the pump and valves not to blow out a pump or line.
But so far I like it.. -
Haulhand runs in Wy. and over the road with his stuff.

passingthru , wich one do you like more? I would think the hydro?
-
I wish I had a hydro......

Like Passinthru said I run in Wyoming with part of my stuff and the rest runs all 48 and Canada. I much prefer not having to go out and rescue trucks with drive lines or rear ends like I used to when I had mechanical stuff.281ric Thanks this.

I dont think I blame you. I never ran one but Im sure in a hot muggy day or a few local runs the mechanical would wear you down pretty quick.

I don't mind the physical aspect of it at all, its the toll that it takes on the truck, even if you are easy with it, its still going to shorten the life of a clutch.
