    Have a '07 with a d13 and it has an extreme vibration when using stage 3 of the jake if you use stage 2 its gone and its only when hauling a fully loaded trailer- ther is no vibration bobtailing or when empty. Any ideas

    Stay on flat roads and look for light loads as long as you pay for maintenance bills; I have 1,230,000 miles on original D13/2008; never used the jake. I replaced the original brake shoes and drums after 1 mil miles,it cost only 1000$; Years ago I learned hard way, in 2003 blew up a Volvo D12 motor, using the jake in Utah on I-15, heavy reefer load, almost 30,000$ to install new motor/towing ... after in 2004 blew the heads of my Detroit D60, in Utah on I-80.

    you might want the exhaust rocker pistons checked just make sure there coming unscrewed and have over head checked

    Pressure on the engine is no more than combustion pressure when in jake mode so i would say your engines would have failed anyway.

    Simply not possible to run around in this country without jakes or retarder... retarders require more maintenance....
