I heard about MCT just started a Lease Purchase program, do not want this to turn into a debate about LP vs O/O, I've read all of the threads about that, it's just I never knew that MCT did that...

I wonder how they're doing since they don't even have company trucks.

The last I heard they are 100% O/O and Small Fleet owner's, I guess if you want to work for them and not own a truck you would have to drive for a small fleet owner, unless something else has changed with them......

I'm a company driver for them. There only about 15 company drivers but they don't hire for those positions though. As far as the lease to purchase I turned down the offer for it but a friend of mine is doing it now. Are you talking about the lease to purchase that's $8something a month for the freightliners with no credit check and no money down?

I just heard about it today, and I guess they are going to call, I don't know about doing a lease/ purchase as I am looking to buy one instead, if my money holds out, but I will at least listen to them....

If its the lease to purchase they have with the 01-02 Freightliner's the guy I know doing it now says he breaks even. He says he makes the same amount that he made when we were driving for a o/o.

A 10 to 12 year old truck in a lease purchase deal?? Can your friend walk away from the lease immediately? Why would anyone do that instead of buying the truck out right?

No its a 18 month contract. I drove a 01 freightliner for one of their o/o that did the lease to purchase and it seemed like every time I blinked I had a breakdown and I think the total repairs ended up costing more than the cost of the truck and eventually he ran out of money so I figured it'd be a bad idea to do a lease to purchase for one of those trucks after going through all I went though with that truck.

    Old thread bump from 7/29/2013

Friday morning had a MCT driver ask me to back blind side for him. ( pondered for about 5 seconds, Coffee didn't kick in yet ) Said no and he replied it's a automatic, still said no, Short fella then jumped on Old Dominion steps. no clue what happened. I left and no mood for anything outside the normal :biggrin_25523:

MCT pinged my radar now. They are all O/O's with automatics ?

Seen them around, busted up reefer units, just curious.

I left them in November and all company drivers got the new prostar internationals that are automatics. Plus they had to take on wse drivers because at the time wse was going out of business and they had all had brand new prostar internationals automatics too.

    Shaggy and truckon Thank this.
