You are going to be asked to give a license number, state issued and expiration date. They will then ask you where you worked for the past 3 to 10 years. If you have work experience all you have to do is list it. If you were driving for a company that did not require you to have a CDL and the company will verify your experience, then list it. The states issue your license and some states have different rules then others. The company only cares because of the department of homeland security and insurance matters.

If you wish, you can even get a second phone line installed in your house and make up a company name. Of course, that is fraud and if anything goes wrong, it will bite you.

One thing they look for in a road test is if your skills match what you have put down for experience. If you have a year or less, grinding the gears once in a while is allowed. If you say you have 10 years in, and grind the gears, you will not pass the same test.

Do not give them information they do not ask for but always provide full and complete answers to what they do ask for.

If you lie, you will find out the only job in America you can get is President of the United States. And no honest trucker will ever respect you then.

Thanks. It's funny how the last two companies I have driven for had no issue with my "new" cdl. They have both paid by the hour and I bring home half of what my otr friends bring home. It's crazy how hard it is to get verifiable experience.
