Friend of mine is working out of Mobile AL. He makes about $15/hr and owns land on acreage there. Not bad for six months on the job.

Considering hauling water. Is early May a good time of year to start in ND?
-
Any day is a good day to start.
Driver5 and coffeehead Thank this. -

Do people use block heaters in their personal vehicles? If so what type.

coffeehead Thanks this.

Depends on the temperature.
Gasoline above zero, never; down to -20 I don't think about it, unless going to use a older vehicle that hasn't been run in a while.
Diesel depends on it's condition above zero same as gas. below zero, I would.
Biggest thing about the cold, is having a good battery with a good amount of Cold Cranking Amps (CCA's). Some factory batteries are marginal at -30. If they are weak, good luck.coffeehead and tman78 Thank this. -
Wait until June for hauling water in ND. Spring load restrictions can really slow things down through May.
coffeehead Thanks this. -
chaz7r Thanks this.
