Didnt read all of that, but if you put in the same amount of time hauling crude in TX as you would put in over the road....at any one of the better crude haulers... you'll likely make close to twice as much money. If you find a good paying crude hauler running sleeper trucks...the living expenses would be very comparable to otr.
I'm looking to get into the Oilfields! Where's the money at?!

My husband hauls water in PA right now, but work is slow and the pay is going down. He currently makes $21 an hour, but his company is trying to phase out all the senior drivers because he can hire new guys at $16 an hour. Cost of living has gone up around here, too. Just a few years ago I could go to the grocery store and get enough groceries for our family of 5 for about $120 bucks a week. Now I'm looking more at $200 a week. It's really hard when he's barely getting 30 hours a week, if that. When there's work, he averages 55 hours a week. Still makes it tough on a single income around here.

Inspirational message!!! 1000$-1500$ take home or 2500$-3000$ if you go 1099. This is per week driver, with an over the road schedule 70/34. Hauling propane or Y grade not water, stay in the truck just like OTR. Even if you catch a hotel in the 34 off you still come out way ahead, if you don't need to run home to momma every week.

ND pays up to four grand a week take home if you haul fresh water, work 16 hrs/day and live in a sleeper.
I don't know about Texas income, but the TX women sure charm the hell out of the ND girls. These local girls think charm is either a breakfast cereal or a TV show. And fugly... D@MN. I have to fly down to Dallas to remind myself of what petite feminine buns in tight jeans looks like! -
Water trucks in pa, they just slow down lower than 45 mph when speed limit is 55 mph, just to make more money.

That's what PA, OH, and WV are known for. Natural gas wells and frac sand.
