More regen= losing money, either job money or the truck money.

But the truck doesn't require manual regens. I don't HAVE to stop. It runs fine for now. I'm thinking it's more of a water temp issue. It just concerns me that after it stops revving up it sputters and dies most times. It only happens when I'm already parked but having to idle due to super cold temps cuz the bunk heater won't keep up. So I guess I'll warm the truck up as much as I can then let the bunk heater do it's thing. And lots of blankets!!

Thats actualy not too bad. With the freightliner that had def, we had problems. Had to manually regen 3-4 times in a 2k mile trip. Awful!! Especially since it took an hour each time.. So glad I'm done with that one!

I thought def engines suppose to have lesser regens than dpf engines.

Like I said: our freightliner with def was going down hill fast. It was in the shop more than on the road. So we got reseated in the international.

go for after 2014. They better than the dpf maxxforce. My friend's truck now got reassigned and drives the 2014 prostar with 450 hp and 1700 lb ft. Runs better on the hill but the jakes are not powerful. Even when going down the 5% grade.

Speaking of cascadias with def, my pals Cascadia, the only time he went to the shop is oil change. He only rode 300k miles on it until they reassigned him.

True about the jakes. On this one also. For sure. We can't really go after anything at all as long as this thing keeps running. They don't reassign for good behavior. Lol only if you breakdown and it looks like it's gonna be awhile for it to get fixed. But from what I've seen in the fleet, the 2014s they are getting are pretty much just Pete's or freightliners.

That freightliner had nothing wrong. That truck was leased by ryder. Maybe deal expired, time to turn in the truck.

    STap Thanks this.
