N14 cummins, 10 speed, double bunk 72" sleeper, grey/burgandy interior color...over 1 millon on the odometer but seemed to run well....

its darn near a twin to mine....truck and trailer -
What about auto transmissions? I have never driven one and I'm concerned about reliability. Should I be concerned? And what about engines? I have only driven two 400 HP Cummins, and a 460 HP Volvo. Each with a 10 speed, no O/D, and similar rears. The Cummins averaged about 1 mpg better, but I was maxed out most of the time with the Volvo. How are Detroit's? I have been "told" that CATs are not as fuel efficient. FYI... the Cummins website has a useful tool for matching different trans, rears, tires, cruising speeds. and driving conditions to Cummins engines. Don't know if I could use it for other makes of engines? I hear you about companies and their trucks.
Thanks again. -
