Was running around the 410 Loop, heading northeast. Rain freezing on to my windshield. Got almost to the I37 when a truck going northbound on 37 lost it on the overpass. CRASH!!!! From where we were, it looked like the truck was hanging off the overpass. That's a hell of a long drop to the ground, or to 410. Talk about pucker factor.

Well here I sit in Hammond, La..
Yesterday was not a good day and today not looking any better.
Yesterday I'm going to stop at the T/A in Grand Bay and get fuel.. That was the plan..
So I get to the top of the ramp and guess what? The trk. quits.. Yep sports fan I ran out of fuel.. Crank her and I get the trk. running. Then as I turn int the drive way it dies again, ok I coasting and see the pump open at the end..
Try steering a trk. with no power sterring. Well I'm trying to turn and it's not going good and I'm heading to the rnd post at the fuel island. I stop and try cranking her again. Nope no battery now. Ok
I find a gallon jug and start filling her up. Filled my fuel filter and my pilot asks the shop to come out and jump me please.
Nope he needs to do a work order first... So I go and do that, So as I'm waiting for them to come jump me I keep filling the jug..
I got 60 gallons of fuel in it before they came to jump me off.
Alot of trips, but I did get some execrise in on this little deal..
So I stop in Hammond for the night.

Don't you usually spend the winter in Thailand? I'm working this January myself for the first time in a few years. Heading north to Savannah on Monday. I hope it's not too cold up there.
-
Yes, I am normally in Thailand this time of the year. My wife is there now
I changed companies in the first part of Dec. Put my wife on the plane and told here I will be there after doing some rig moves.
The first trl. broke on me and it has just been a series of small clusters since.
The Hope and Change program we were all told about has not helped either..
This is the first in awhile that I have worked in the winter, kinda like how you do it....
