If I'm still here. We have a list of folks to email if the truck isnt ready by 9am, 10am, 11am and 1pm today. We clearly don't worry during lunch.
If, however, we are, I'll run by the house and throw together some midnite munchies for y'all on WNaW. Gotta keep up that energy!

So Im driving I-20 eastbound yesterday and this truck passes me. I pull into the picnic area to check how long I had until my 30 minute break (stopped for less than a minute) the pull back out on 20. I hadnt even got up to speed when this guy clipped the rear end of a FedEx truck. Both FedEx guys were fine. The Golding driver was ok but we had to dig his wife out from between the bunk and the seats. She was injured but luckily I dont think that it was anything too bad.

This is the exact reason that I cant sleep in a moving vehicle. I had a real hard time with that during training and if Stevens would had been doing dumb and dumber, I probably would had gone somewhere else for training.

You guys be safe out there!!!

I am seriously considering moving on when my lease is up. The wife has established a home in Spokane and I am in contact with a company that runs up and down the west coast (NOT GTI). I'm making more money training, but it is a big hassle having strange people in my house all the time. Plus I miss my wife. The company I am looking into says they get you home every week, which makes sense if you go down to SoCal and back. Still pondering.

Fozzy, the way I see it is every trucking company has its challenges and frustrations. The trick is to find one whose challenges and frustrations you can live with. That is the right company for you. It may not be for me, but it is for you. I wish you well in your search and clarity in making the right decision for the right reason.

After 1 year at Steven's, 7 months of which was Alliance, I moved on to an LTL company in my home area (Portland,OR). Not only do I get home when I want,
I'm making much more $ with a lot less stress. Everyone has to do what's right for them.

Nothing like getting a qc message that my load is ready on trailer xxxxx while I am sitting in the door being loaded.

It is three hours past when it was supposed to be ready, but it is not ready now...

    That was a wasted message.

Those messages are sent out as soon as we get them. Blame the shipper.

I am currently on the load from hell... that message was just a Minor annoyance... Having them.load my trailer with the wrong load, while putting the correct load on a different trailer, but loading my trailer first because I was sitting there hooked to it, has that beat. And that is just the tip of the iceberg...

So far the score is Load 5 - KMac 0

It's the slowest time for freight for the year and you are holding 2 loads now!!! Some people are never happy! :puke: :biggrin_25519:
