Although YRC was a great job I'm glad I got out when I did. Especially now.

that whole LHD position is just too shady to me. I was hoping we would get better runs at my terminal but now I'll be going to my hub for the LHD.

i agree with hammer it seems like another way to cut runs and save money. And they were begging us to vote yes

Begging is an understatement. Many terminals were told that a no vote authorized a strike. Guys were taking that to mean that if it was voted down we were automatically on strike. The company and the Union played a very good hurry up offense.

Yea that was the scare of my terminal. I kept trying to say it doesn't mean we're going on strike, but I'm the young kid so no one listens lol

Agreed, we got played. Now we have to find what actually works for us drivers in this contract.

I wish we could vote in the national master freight agreement. I bet UPS pays the teamsters off to not allow us to vote in

Not sure what is going on. All this week been on mileage runs ( never had a full week of mileage )

Edit: My fault, Forgot to include 2.25hrs doing stupid crap. Disregard full week of mileage.

I had my first week of full dock ever.

Oh yeah, forgot to include about 3 hours of yard dog. I'm starting to let my mind drift and start thinking about paying cash for an old Freightliner.

Ok I guess its my turn to chime in.

Monday, did my run and a normal night.

Tuesday, all runs canceled from my terminal

Wednesday all mini hubs canceled everyone still went out except me and the bottom guy as we ate short on road tractors due to some out of service, but got 8 hours on the dock and yard horse.

Thursday my run canceled, went in at 7 to work the dock and got to do our second longest run to Philly as an extra board driver. Longggggg day.

Friday they decided to open the mini hub where I go to last minute. Couldn't go in till a half hour my start time due to clocking out late the day before. Myself and the guy below me went there (both on that bid) it was SLOW. I barely brought back two full trailers and he went empty.
