Oh the plumbing is good.
As for the food thing. I do a lot of multiple stop farm implement loads. And sometimes there isn't a place to stop between stops after 5pm and I'm not gonna go OOR to get ###### Truck Stop food.passingthru69, SHC and milskired Thank this. -
Staying warm has been an issue. Conestoga's don't like to work to well when it's -20 then you add 35+ mph winds and no place to get away from it then just opening and closing one becomes a half hour exercise in futility. I had to take the tarps of a load that was dropped in last night and basically I pulled the bungees and lifted them off with the forklift. They are still sitting out here in the shape of the load. I thought about using the forklift to smash them down but I'm afraid I'll break them so they're tied to an empty trailer.
I have a cold weather suit rated to -30 plus thermals but I can't find a way to keep my ******* feet warm. Once they get cold nothing else helps, I'm just cold period. I've been trying wool socks with regular socks over them and Thinsulate boots but still can't keep them warm.
I'm sitting here tonight with the heater screaming, my feet wrapped in a fleece blanket on top of a heating pad just to break the chill...milskired Thanks this. -
Catalina, look at snowmobiling boots. I know they make some that are rated for well below zero and are fully waterproof. Even though when its that cold the snow never melts so waterproof is not really needed IMO just something super warm! They run in the 180-200$ range but they can be rated for cold into the -100 and even colder range. Also look into Thorlo socks, used them in the Marine Corp when I did my cold weather mountain training and slept in a tent when it was about -5* outside and my feet stayed warm all the time wearing those!

Douse yourself in gasoline and strike a match, I guarantee you will be warm for the rest of your life.

Probably have to turn the AC on your so warm
SHC Thanks this. -
Catalina,
Get yourself some of the adhesive chemical foot warmers. The kind that are in the package that you open and shake them to heat up. I spend a lot of time in the deer stand and in a fish house and its the only thing that keeps my toes warm.catalinaflyer Thanks this. -
Kingmont, WV sitting in a hotel for the rest of the evening. I-79 is a sheet of snow-covered ice all the way up to Washington, PA from what I've heard. Snow plow in the median, big truck in the median, four wheelers in the ditch. I'm done until the roads get cleaned up a bit.
