I had a load of fresh beauty bark like that once, during the loading had to inch the trailer forward every now and then so they could load it evenly. At the final had to back UP a ramp to the dumper, then drop the trailer. I took videos at both load and unload. One great thing after unloading is that the trailer smelled like a pine forest, although the walls were coated with a fine layer of moisture that I tried my best to sweep out along with the wood chips still clinging to the bottom of the walls and the floor.

    dptrucker Thanks this.

Here at my least favorite terminal. Decatur. Only here for parking. Glad not looking for a load. Lots of trucks here. Came here since did not want to take a chance finding a place to park at this time of night in Madison at the T/A or Peelot. Home time req in for El Paso on the 3rd, and Mac 30, dh 83 miles to SC to pu going 600 miles for Tuesday afternoon, IN, and one other, dh 151 miles to NC going to Milwaukee for the 29th. Did not care for the one either since it does not load until 1700 on Monday. By the time loaded, no time left on my 14 and then 730 miles by 0600 on Wednesday, and getting from up there back to Texas, fat chance.

    Gretna, NE at the J.

I'm glad I had only 6 hours to run today or I might have had to shut down here anyway because of the winds.
55-60 gusts this afternoon and evening.

I'm headed to Denver, hopefully delivering tomorrow.
I'll be headed into snow in the Denver area, so the ear gets played once again.
It doesn't look too bad, from the NOAA site. Just a couple inches expected. But I've seen a mild forecast turn into a major storm pretty quickly in that area.

If you don't like the weather in Denver, just wait 10 minutes.

    Exactly right.

Over a decade ago when I was living there it was a bright, sunny and warm day of 72 degrees. (or was it nearly 2 decades, now that I think of it?)
A high school group, and many more, went to Red Rocks for a concert, dressed in warm weather clothing. Shorts, tank tops, t-shirts and the like.
Within a 2 hour period the temp had dropped to below 30 and it was snowing heavily.
    The 'weatherman' had no clue.

I was working at a hotel as a banquet waiter at the time.
All the banquet rooms were turned into emergency wards because of so much frostbite and problems caused by the cold weather.
The hospitals were simply full, and the overflow went to where ever and whom ever could help.

Denver area is one of the most unpredictable locations where weather is concerned.

was another late night which seems to be the case lately but I dont mind too much since traffic is so much nicer, delivered in central Fresno which is a pain in the arse only since the dock is so steep, have to drop the bags completely to get under a trailer and when I disconnected from the loaded then pulled forward a foot to put the king pin lock on my back tires were several inches off the ground. Then dropped a load in Lancaster which is an easy store I never mind going to. The planner asked me if I wanted to work today or be on standby, I looked at him and told him he knows my answer so he gave me a load to Modesto so I will only get 385ish miles for tomorrow but better than sitting doing nothing. I know 3 guys are on standby not including the ones who already have the day off, only way I really want to be on standby is if its during my days off since I dont like split days. Load isnt scheduled to cut until 1700 with a delivery of 0330 so I will enjoy getting some extra sleep, even thought about waking up and getting my car and going to see a movie but will see how I feel later.

London, KY. Woke this morning with 3 pplans on me. First two where okay. GA to John Deere in Cleveland, drop and hook and then up to Detroit. All by the 29th. Then I got to the 3rd one, live load on the 30th in Detroit, and deliver on the 3rd in SC, all of about 600 miles, for a live unload. that was not happening since home request, el Paso on the 3rd. Snagged one of MAC 30, NC up to Milwaukee. Asked first before I took that one, any fr8 up there to get me where I want to be, and was told yes. Plenty going to OK and TX.
