That's why I contacted them last summer. I don't care about having title to a truck at the end, but I did want more control over scheduling, running, and income than any company driver position has. Pity they wanted recent experience in at least 15 states; my Midwest regional only ran in 4, so I didn't qualify.
Maybe next year.

Well I have made it down to Tulsa so now for a little nap before orientation van gets here at 0730. Have a good safe night everyone. That wind is major pain tonight.
Jarhed1964 and RizenPhoenix Thank this. -
That's an option over here that some drivers take. So many drivers at other lease companies have to sacrifice income to accomplish their truck ownership dreams. We can do both. Or we can treat the truck as a rental and trade it in as it gets close to the warranty expiration date. Good luck with the application process and let me know if I can help!Jarhed1964 Thanks this.

I had to cut off part of the plug that was too close to the clutch pedal for me, then slap it up there with plenty of duct tape!luvtotruck and Joker85 Thank this.

OK, it's Monday morning, I checked in an hour early for my 8am delivery at Target in Lake City Florida with my load I picked up Friday only 700 miles north in Virginia; let's see if they can unload me in short order so I can hopefully get moving on a more productive trip. Of course at my former company this would be considered a really good trip!

Lol, spoiled. Anything less than 1,200 miles is just a reposition trip.KeithT1967, Turbojet and luvtotruck Thank this.

I'm really starting to hate you! Lol

Exactly. To be honest I dont want to drive for the rest of my life, but want to use the equipment as a tool to earn money and build capital. I run like a scalded dog, having burned out 3944 miles second week of December in a 63mph company truck. I am greedy. No argument about that. I welcome the chance to learn mpg management and look forward to having the chance to put excess fuel dollars into my pocket rather than into the engine. If I happen to be there long enough to get the title, I will probably sell it for cash or just run it payment free until I get a business started at home, THEN sell it and use the capital for a busi ess.

Me, too. May the fleas of a thousand camels infest your tent.Sharpp and vikingswen Thank this.

Ha! I thought it was "may the fleas of a thousand camels infest your armpits", or "may the bluebird of happiness splatter you with joy".
