What part of $1k LESS did you miss? Obviously the LESS part. His quoted payment was $3.3K/mo. 1K LESS would mean a payment of $2.3K/mo.

That is a very expensive for a lease. what kind of truck and who is it thru?
Make sure on you contract that blowouts are on them, rentals incur same mileage rate as lease not rental mileage rate. Example if you are paying .07 per mile in lease and rentals they charge .12 per mile make sure you are paying the .07 when your truck is shop and they have you in a rental. Truck washes you should be able to get btw 12-24 per year free. Virgin tires only. You may be able to get them to pay for DEF fluid. Also you should be able to get them to charge you for fuel when you are at the shop at cost of cost plus .01 or .02 per gal. -
There is a LOT that can be provided in a full service lease right down to the plates & insurance but you pay for it and everything they do is chargeable nothing is free

$3285/month isn't bad for a brand new truck depending on what the lease is paying for. A new truck payment would be around $2000-$2500/month. Insurance under your own authority would run roughly $600-$700/month. Tags around $1800/year. If you are not being charged per mile as well, then It's not bad. Again, it all depends on what the lease covers!!

OK, is this a lease or a purchase ? A brand new truck will have a warranty for 500 k, so why "pay" the seller to "fix" any possible problems, that will be covered by warranty anyway ? If it's a straight purchase, you'll own it after the payments are done. A lease, you give it back after the payments are done. I would rather own it than give it back. With owning, you can drive it payment free for a few yrs IF you didn't wear it out the first 5 yrs. Will you feel good if after one year, nothing broke, yet, you paid a grand a month for nothing ? I'm basing this on my last truck which I bought brand new in '07 with zero down and monthly payment of $1980. (for 5 yrs) Most of the big boys will lease you a truck with a additional monthly fee which includes "full service", however, this is a used truck with 500 k on the odometer.

Well I had a change in plans and won't be going this route. A friend of mine got the news he's forcibly retired by his doctor so when I make my move I'll be buying his tractor off him but I'll post as many details as I have with me to help foster the debate.
2014 International Prostar Eagle
525 cummins isx
15 spd manual
(I don't have the price with me but i it was around 120)
The lease covers any and all maintenance as well as tires and any of the little things (wiper blades, lights etc). I never did get around to reading the fine print so there could be details I was not aware of yet. That price also included a mileage charge based on an average of 12000 miles per month.
I thought it was a little much even for it being in Canada that's why I originally posted here to see if I was off my rocker
