    My weekend....
Shot through the house Saturday, left there Sunday lunch time, as they said I can park in the plant for the night.
Get to the plant, through the white out etc about 2030 last night. Security girl told me I cant park in there, but can park in the car parking area until 0430 Monday morning. No problem, I can come in then right? Nope, no animals allowed, and she saw my German Shepherd in the truck.
After some fruitless fone calls, I say screw it and head to the truck stop. No point being awake at 0430 to drive around the block for 3hrs...
Get to the truckstop, and get parked up. Young guy comes in trying to get lined up for a spot facing me. I offer to move to my left a little, for him to get lined up. I pull out a little, as far as I can, and he proceeds to put his trailer into my brand new Herd Defender bumper! Bent it back a little, 2 gouges in it, and broke 2 1/2" grade 8 bolts! We came to the agreement that he will pay for it out of his pocket, so he can keep his job. Conditions were very very bad. Looks like a little tweaking and some tig welding/polishing is all that is needed. Can do that myself at home.
Get to bed, woke up at 4am, couldn't sleep.
Dispatch call and ask if I can "leave my dog at the Pilot".....Needless to say, I went off the deep end on the idiot. Told him to bring his grand kids to Gary,In Pilot, ad leave them there....
I called another contact myself, and we hashed out a deal. I untarped in the truck stop, with an ignorant ATS driver watching me fight the tarps in the wind, and shot over there. He in turn, sent one of his shop guys to the car parking lot and let Axel sit in his pickup while I delivered. Offered the pickup guy a $20, but he flat out refused.
Get out of there, heading to E.Peoria to load a dozer. Call them and they say 1430 is the cutoff to be loaded. I have my permit, and call them at 1420, SIXTEEN miles away. She got snotty, I hung up.
    Is January over with yet?

    Martin,

not yet but soon, hopefully. I think you need to start parking in 2 spots or maybe 3 spots, just in case...

I think I got a 14 wide to Houston for Wednesday.

maybe you should have gotten a yellow truck for better visability? I know where you can get one but it's kinda slow.......

Hope things get better for everyone.

No they are forcing everybody to use it now. It really slows down the loading process and goes up the scale because if the ######### that aren't smart enough to not stop right off the scale to use it. Anymore I open my hatch at the yard and close it at the truckstop.

You should have parked across the street at the Texaco that J is a good place for front end damage and the renegade restaurant on the parking lot has pretty good Chinese food in fact I eat lunch there just about everyday I'm home.
