When i whas young i always had a dream to drive a big American truck.
Now im 25 years old and have 7 years of experiance in driving a truck but then in europe.
I've been in Sweden,Germany,Luxemburg,Belgium,France,Switerland,Austria you name it and if been there.

    But now my question...

Is it possible that i can meet a trucker or company so i maybe can drive a big american truck for just say 2 hours.
I will deliver or load something, doesn't matter to me.
Its just a dream of me, to drive a truck in america.

I have expiriance ... can someone help me with this?

In the image above you see were we go to travel.

We will start in Phoenix at 29 of Juni.

Can someone make my dream come true?

btw: sorry for my crappy english ^^

Greetings : Ewout Scholte op Reimer ...from Holland ;)

Yes, I've had some wild times in Rotterdam, but the moderators will ban me if I go into details.

Maybe you can work something out with M Bjorn Peterson in Glendale, AZ

He owns M Bjorn Peterson Transportation and is orginally from Denmark.

    He has a website.

Holland is a wonderful country; that's what I meant. I have a pair of wooden shoes I purchased there.

As you would expect, there are plenty of laws and regulations that would prevent you from just getting in a truck and driving a couple hours. That being said, you might get some better info from these guys as to how you might achieve your dream. Good luck, enjoy your visit to the states.

But we rent a car so I can drive but why not in a truck?
I have a complete license for a truck.
    Is that different?
And the rules to get a license for a truck in Holland is dramatically strong pffff.

The laws allow you to operate a vehicle appropriate for passenger travel on your EU license while you're here as a tourist on or a visa. It was the same when I went to South Africa... regardless of the class of my US license, I could only operate a small passenger vehicle on it... to work there are a driver, I needed to get a South African E+C license. It'll be the same for you here, as well. There is no reciprocity. Different industry, different regulations, etc. I'm willing to bet I wouldn't be allowed to do in The Netherlands what you're trying to do here, either, in spite of my experience.

same reason I cannot go to Holland or Germany and just drive an O/O's commercial vehicle 1) No license for that country 2) No insurance coverage as I am not properly licensed

your "groot rijbewijs" is not accepted in the USA or Canada. you are limited in choice of transportation and i dont think there are a lot of owner operators who would let you drive. sorry
