Does LS post the amount available to pay a lumper on the load info? Does LS pay the driver the same amount the lumpers get if the driver unloads himself?
Thanks

As far as my experience this is between you and the broker. When I first call on a load I ask if there is a lumper fee and if there is when will it be added to my card. I will scan in the lumper receipt to make sure that lumper fee is not charged to me. I had an agent recently tell me she would pay me $200 to off load or she would pay the $350 lumper fee. My trailer was fully hand loaded with shoe box sized boxes so I told her to add the money to my card so I could cut the lumper service a com check.

I have had my lumper fees covered by the agent.

Why wouldn't they give you the 350 if you unload yourself?
So you got the 350 on a card and you pay the lumper whatever you want? Or you just unload yourself and keep the 350?
Thanks -
I paid the lumper $350 and the broker covered the cost. I wasn't going to off load that trailer since it was about 12 hours of work for me or more. The lumper service had 4 people off load it and it still took them 2 hours.

Wow! That's like 44 bucks per hour for those 4 guys. Maybe I should be a lumper. If you wanted to unload yourself would you have gotten the 350? Is the broker asking for a receipt after he loads the 350 on to your card or is the 350 part of your compensation; to do with as you please?
Thanks -
The broker wanted me to scan in the receipt so they get a copy. Once I saw the load there was no way I was going to off load it by myself. Also the broker said I only get $200 to off load it myself or she would just pay the lumper fee. I did not argue about the $150 difference since I was not touching it.
