So how does this work? The driver connection flyer made it seem like it just uses qc data and assigns points, but I can't seem to log into the system. Is it working for anyone? What kind of prizes are available?

You slow down.
You get a blender.
Conway pays for it.
Writes it off on their taxes.
You report and pay for it at tax time.
....sounds like Conway right?
Glad they can pay fuelopps but yet still haven't found any money for hourly compensation @ Conway freight rates for local work.
Just more automated messages to bug ya saying slow down when possible....but hurry up and be on time ya know.paul_4lp, EtaN and double yellow Thank this. -

Mine look pretty close to DY...but someone with a little more education is going to have to tell me what it means. I suspect you don't get any points if you idle too much, but not sure...Most of my arrows are way right, overall is 735 and idling is 50 so I assume that is what brings me down. I figure if I score better than80 or 90% of the fleet, with students winding up my rpms, then I shouldn't get penalized for idling.
But, what do I know...I'm a little old for an x box anyway....now, ranger, with trolling motor....now I am interested. -
There are some pdf guides on the driver connection (the big one is here: http://www.con-way.com/resources/truckload/fuel_opps_driver_guide.pdf ), but here is the gist: Idling is ranked completely separate from the overall driving, so if you idle a lot, it won't affect your ability to earn points for the driving side. You will earn points for coming under the seasonal company idling target for your category (solo, team, regional, etc).
I presume your students are logged into the qualcomm when they are driving, so their habits should not affect your score. If they stay logged in, they'll probably be charged with all the idling too (something I imagine might cause conflicts among teams).
As for the individual categories, high RPM appears to be amount of time spent over 1450rpm. They say engine braking is excluded from the calculation, but from my scores I suspect it dings your score if you are engine braking without the jakes (e.g. you've downshifted and are coasting on a minor grade knowing the steeper grade is forthcoming) or if you float out of engine braking.
Progressive Shifting is scored on shifting to the next gear at the lowest rpm, but nothing in the documentation suggests it has any way of compensating for heavier loads.
Highway speed is scored on how slow you cruise in top gear. The faster you go, the lower your score. I didn't see anything in the documentation to suggest it knows the difference between coasting downhill and cruising on flat lands.
If your scores are above the "good" threshold & you've driven at least 3000 miles in the month, you will earn a blue badge. If they're above the "excellent" threshold, you'll earn a gold badge. Earn enough badges and you'll increase FuelOps levels. (Thresholds: http://www.con-way.com/resources/truckload/fuel_opps_drivers guide_sm.pdf ) I don't think the levels/badges are good for anything more than bragging rights -- I heard company brass is working on stickers for putting on trucks. But you will earn points each day that your scores are above average. Each point appears to be worth $0.01...
Yeah, I have no room or use for an Xbox, but if they don't offer anything I want (Cash, company stock, etc) I can always hawk it on ebay.Roadrealtor Thanks this. -
I can't login to site it says employee ID for user and password right or am I doing something wrong?
-
For your first login both username and password will be your employee ID with 1 zero in front. And I believe letters must be capitalized.Last edited: Feb 4, 2014
