Went down and got my Tanker Endorsement seeing I'm going to be hauling bulk tanks soon. I'm qualified for my Hazmat, did the figure prints, back ground checks. I was wondering Eventually I'm going to want to do Hazmat Tanker pulling but was wondering will the N, H converge into an X or does is that a completely different test. I told them that I wanted the X but wasn't sure if that's a separate "Hazmat + Tanker test" or it converts to an X once I get my Hazmat on my license....

In Texas when the TSA cleared me the mine went from TN to TX, so I figure all states are the same.

There is no x in new jersey, H and N will cover you for pulling a hazmat tank.

About that signature picture, Is it not against the rules to carry flammables and oxidizer in the same vehicle?

Can be on same vehicle, but in separate containers. Different class hazmats have different containment specs. This is from my experience as a suicide jockey/powder truck operator in georgia.

MD simply has the "X" that covers both. Once you're cleared, all you have to do is get your license updated to reflect it.

I have the combination myself, even though I don't pull tankers. The tanker endorsement was simply an easy test, so it just made sense.

I'm pretty sure you're right. I have a segregation chart that my company gave me that I can check though.

Just looked it up. They just have to be 4 feet apart.
