Hello Guys I am facing an issue with my 06 Volvo 630 450 hp cummins
The problems are. The fan is always running (replaced both sensors) still doesnt stop. Sometimes it starts working fine. but when the fan is having issues the truck cant go past 12k rpm and doesnt pull very well. When the fan is working fine the truck pulls fine. Right now the truck heater is not working. With the fan working no heat is coming from the vents which means defroster doesnt work! I am running my webasto to keep my b**ls from freezing.
Please let me know maybe of a temporary fix I can try?
Thank you!

My friend had a similar issue in his 2003 Volvo VNL660 ISX and it would up being the fuse in the dash for the fan was blown. He replaced the fuse and the fan stopped staying on.

I tested the fuses with the tester and they seem to all be working, I have 780k miles. Amy other ideas?

check ECM auxilarry inputs... if ECM reads A/C on it actuates fan

Pablo, can you clarify on what you said? I reread it several times but im a newbie at this...
Thank you -
I believe what pablo is stating is if you have a scanner go to the parameter screen this is a list of all the sensor readings, switch positions, pressures, and temps. Scrol down and there should state if the a/c demand switch is on or off. If the a/c demand switch is off on dash and selector not on defrost (a/c automatically runs on defrost) but the scanner says a/c is on that could cause fan to stay locked on. Pablo if I am incorrect with what you were describing feel free to correct me.

Where can i get a scanner ?

I use Cummins Insite software)))

Might just be a high pressure sensor for the ac calling for the fan to come on. Un hook it and see if the fan goes off.

Yeah I am done. Injectors and cams failed
