I'm going to start a thread here about the different things that I find along the way on the '06 Columbia I run. I'll add to it as I go. This was the most recent adventure. Feel free to share things you learn along the way with your older Columbias.
Everything that was controlled through the drivers door was starting to act funny. I had just replaced the window switch for the passenger window and it didn't work. We were planning on investigating it this week, but it kind of diagnosed itself yesterday as the smoke poured out from near the door sill. After a little investigating, found the connector behind the drivers side kick panel corroded and melted. After my run tomorrow, we are going to pull it apart and manually match and connect the wires - removing the plug interface. I'll keep you posted.

maybe the previous owner power washed the inside to clean,or else he had a big window leak. hope that fixes it for you

I have been inside it with a standard hose to clean the floor, but never power washing. That particular plug was not below the floor level. I'm going to investigate for other signs of moisture getting into it when I have it apart.
