Does your dash have boost pressure, current mpg weighted over 8 seconds, avg. mpg, or any gauge your ECM can display? You should open your mind a little. FASS does what it claims, provem over and over again.

Yup. Prolly the only gauge I lack, from the factory, is a vacuum gauge to tell me when the air filter needs replaced.
I can even set desired mpg goal and instrument cluster shows - & + arrows to show when I'm achieving that goal at any given moment.
I used reset fuel economy avg after each trip. But last summer I began tracking a longer avg.(oil change to oil change). Of course it shows me current avg while going down the road.
I guess the only difference, is that it calculates the avg after every complete gallon consumed. -
What engine / trans / rearend? What;s your mpg?
-
DD15 562hp 1850tq/big 13spd/3.42s
Summer 6.3/winter 5.9. Typically I set the cruise around 67mph.
I don't run CA because of my reefer unit and I stay out of the NE. The rest is pretty much fair game. I do see quite a bit of NE, KS, CO, WY -
Would you like a $6000 raise? What tires?
-
I have 18 Michelin SmartWay tires. Truck was factory spec'd with them.
-
OK, not sure if you want a raise or not, lol, but if you slowed down to 62, you'd most likely save 0.5, or $6k per year if fuel, I also fined it more relaxing, just better.
-
I hear what you're saying. I just think the whole thing is kinda ridiculous though.
My last truck had a 450 ISX, no smartway tires, and I drove it the same as I do this one. It easily got 6.5 everyday with the same or better pulling power. -
But it didn't have all this performance and fuel robbing pollution crap on it did it. Some believe if you took all that crap off a DD15 you'd have an easy 9, maybe 10 mpg motor. So the manufacture's givith and our government takes it away. Course they (gov.) want both, overnight!
TheLittleGuy Thanks this. -
Don't know if this will help but key on-engine off,fan speed control all the way left, temp all the way right,defrost-heat-vent all the way left, hold A/C and recirculation buttons until lights blink and it should go into factory reset mode
