I believe you're seeing different financing packages. My truck was bought brand new at the end of 2011. I picked it up at the factory where it was built as a 2012 model 630 Volvo with the 12 speed automatic. Tjb10 has the same truck but a model year newer and I think he posted in his post he got it used......that makes a difference. I have the option to refinance mine at Dart for better rates if I choose, or trade it in for another brand new truck. Mine is financed for 6 years with a baloon at the end to be financed for a year, making it a 7 year total pay off. I believe Tjb10 said his is financed for 5 years. I'm sure he'll answer you back on that when he gets back on. Hope that helps!

I spoke to highway sales before purchasing my new Volvo from a dealer. Right now they are offering cascadias new. At like 2100.00 a month for 6 years and a 16k balloon.

Yeah I spoke to Phil Marston a couple of months ago to see what he had in stock new for Volvos, had some new 670s but with single screw only. I have to twin screws. Some of my customers have really rough yards with BIG holes. What did your new 780 run you, about 140-150k range?

I have been weighing the idea of a LP for some time. I checked out your post which was really helpful. I have been a company driver for 27 years but now it might be time to change. I live in CA but would like to run the super south, I have family in Knoxville where I could stay on home time until I move the family out.
How is Dart with newbies to the LP world?? Any input from you would be appreciated.
Thank you/ -
Any info/words of wisdom from 2wildT would be appreciated. Newbie at Lp's and lokking at the super south based out of Knoxville.

Thanks for the posting on here about Dart. Im in their motel now waiting for orientation tomorrow and ive been trying to go over the numbers and figure out what I will have to do to survive. I know it wont be easy but seeing that some drivers are actually making it, makes me feel better about going into it. Maybe ill start a thread with my experiences with them too.
pattyj Thanks this. -
I have a pre hire with Dart. Do they have company drivers?

Firecracker-How's it going with Dart? I'm starting with them on the 7th. Curious of everything is working the way they said it would.

Been with Dart 4 months now. It's going well. Iam not pushing and still getting 2600 to 2900 miles wek except hometime and reset . To date my profit ranges from 1100to 1800 but overal average from date of hire is 1227 that's including home twice and 3 resets that I could have worked through. Don't forget to put that25% away for quarterlies just paid 2nd quarter it was $4600.00 Had to buy 9a windshield and a supersingle tire already. Just bad luck . Now I know some wmay slam me saying it's not much but I reject loads I don't like and I have a new volvo 630 under warranty and can upgrade to new model year anytime. So stress is down. Ok I'm ready for the criticism.
tjb10 and skyviper73 Thank this.
