    places like H R block teach their people to use their software. They know very little about your situation. My CPA Is a tax expert who studies for his clients all year around. He goes to the source IRS regulations. My income is not high and he get me his fee plus each year. It pays to hire pros.

    CPA is Certified Public Accountant. You don't have to be an accountant to work at a place like H&R Block. Going there is like paying somebody to look at your info and enter it into turbo tax. You can do that yourself.

    Bit of an update. With all the info here and with my old tax preparer we have a refund. Cough, cough. Refunds this year are 4128.00 fed, 33.00 state, 177.00 City of Grand Rapids. Have them doing a double look at the last 3 years returns as well.

    With those dependants and that income you should be getting a good chunk of cash. At least 5 or 6 grand if not more.

    Me being single with no dependants and making 40k I got almost 4 grand back the first time I did taxes.
