I am asking this because I cannot get an answer directly from anyone in the Canadian Government. My felony was overturn so I believe I am good to go.

I have applied for a FAST card. If one is issued to me, that does mean I am cleared into the country driving a commercial vehicle. Correct.

I have nightmares of not getting some of the really good bacon they serve up there, aye.

Study body language; if they don't run your social security number, they may ask "Have you ever stood before a judge in America?" Learn what body language they look for when you answer, "No" and how to counter or neutralize your body language.

I think I would be worried I would end up with a load going that way and then get turned back.

I thought I read somewhere that you could check with some place there in Canada prior to going to see if you can get across the border.

Also may need to check how long you have left on passport before it expires.

I was leaving Korea with my wife for Christmas in the Philippines and when we got to the ticket counter they said I only had 5 months left before my passport expires and could not issue me a ticket without having at least 6 months left on passport before expiration.

That was something new to me, I assumed if I have 5 months left , no problem. Not sure how it works in Canada but I Know now a lot of other countries are that way. My ticket was 3 week round trip but still no go.

You are right there is a phone number you can call, a previous employer suggested I do that because I would be a first time applicant, if I find it I'll post it.

https://goes-app.cbp.dhs.gov/pkmslogout This the Fast card site.

It is suppose to make getting into and out of Canada faster for truckers. I have applied and it is my understand that it will clear me into Canada.

My passport has been renewed so I still have 7 years on it. I have been to Europe and back a couple of times without a problem. But Canada? They be scary folks.

I tried calling all the Canadian numbers but no luck. They do not have an answer for something as minor as child support. I missed 2 payments in 18 years. But they sent me to prison. Long story. Anyway thanks.
