Pilot, La Place LA (intersection of I-10 and I-55). Delivered two stops near Baton Rouge and one near New Orleans today, then no load until tomorrow at the earliest. Currently pulling a curtainside so it will be interesting to see what will pop up for a load going back north.
Saw a msg on the Qualcomm tonight that the state of MO is asking "no travel unless emergency" throughout the entire state starting tonight through all day Tuesday. Looks like it is going to be a frickin' mess with snow, freezing rain and so forth. Rinse and repeat. -
Curtis Wi, probley one of the only flatbeds infront of a the fuel island nosed in to a parking spot so i dont have to listen to the reefers next to me.
-
Yeah, mostly livestock haulers and reefers there.
At HQ for the night. -
Love's exit 72 on I-5 in Washington believe Apavine is the town. Headed south to the sun state of California.

Last day at home. Hammering out some nails and throwing up a couple more walls in my basement project. I'm ready to launch back out believe it or not. Then after one day out I'll be ready to come back home I'm sure.
DirkSteel Thanks this. -
Still at the Pilot in La Place, LA. Looking at what's between here and home, sitting here isn't such a bad thing.

Consignee near Lansing, MI.
Preplan picks up in London, ON and delivers in NC, but the miles are waaaay off. Not confirming until they clarify. -
The lullaby of the road calls to us and unless you're a driver you can't possibly understand that.
i'm home 2 to 3 days and then suddenly I'm getting the itch to be back out there on the road. Then I'm out on the road a day or two and I'm missing home.
We are a rare breed.
The 21st century cowboy.
If you think about it cowboys were just moving product from point A to point B using horsepower. Sometimes they were risking their lives. Well we're doing the same thing.
Cowboys 100 to 200 years ago would've said the trail is calling them. We know the feeling. They left family and friends behind to go and do a job because of the trail's siren song. They were drawn to it like moths to the flame.
We know the feeling.Roknric Thanks this. -
Exactly... Just something about the road that calls for me after I've been home a few days.
