(slave) central refrigerated service

I worked for Central in 2005-2006 and we were allowed to use Swift Terminals. We shared the Dallas Terminal with them. Moyces son in law ran Central at that time. His daughter ran Central Freight. I have no idea who runs what anymore.

Heres the news release the day the SWIFT / CENTRAL deal was announced

Swift Transportation announced today that it acquired privately held Central Refrigerated Transportation, in a transaction valued at $225 million, including approximately $189 million in cash and $36 million of assumed capital lease obligations and other financial debt.

Jerry Moyes, the Chief Executive Officer and controlling stockholder of Swift, was the principal owner of Central

 

Yep sounds right. And his daughter and husband ran the two companies for him. So he sold a privately held company to the corporation that he is the controlling stockholder of. Smart move.

 

Never said it was not a smart move , posted the same basic info earlier + how he got hold of it when D SIMON ( Jerry was a major stockhoder in DS as well ) went under and got questioned on it

 

It all started back when Maude Knight married Chester England.
Now it seems like it's become one big family affair.
