I just got moved up into a newer truck (Columbia), hooked up my 949 to pre-existing power in the overhead. Everything looked fine...i did not key the mike! Installed my Wilson, hooked everything up, turn power on...

The only light that came on was the green led tx light below the channel display....nothing else came on. No displays or lights....so is it fried??????

Unplug your radio power harness and check the voltage across the two pins in the connector. If it shows better than 11.5 V DC, then use a multimeter to make sure the coax isn't shorted out from the center pin to the connector body. If the radio was working until you moved it to the new truck I'd suspect the new truck may have a bad wire somewhere. It's a start . . . . .
