I've watched several flatbeds over the past few weeks and some of them have loads that impeccably tarped. No open spaces anywhere. No loose drapes. No open corners. Perfect folds at the ends. Fastened down snug. How do you get your tarping so nice? Does it take a long time to get your loads secured and wrapped like that?

Just takes practice, you get a little better each time you tarp. Good luck

I know my tarping jobs look better with warmer temps...Cold tarps don't behave...
Then trying to fold and roll frozen tarps....Like trying to make cardboard roll neatly....

Likely being a GIFT WRAPPER in a PREVIOUS LIFE helps a lot

Skills and it depends on the load most of the time. It's not to hard to make a nice evenly sized load look good. It's the ones that have all different dimensions or big open areas that end up bing a pain.

Dimensional loads tarp easy and look nice. My tarp jobs would make a "real" trucker look away from my shame after I've made 4-5 drops and half my load is gone. Long as it stays dry, I don't care if it looks like I'm parasailing.

It's simply being willing to spend an extra 15 minutes to do it right, vs halfass.

I just figured out why my nickname is Right Cheek.
