The oil companies know that we are going to have to fuel sometime. To do this just to affect the oil companies, would be a bad idea. We have to cripple EVERYTHING. I'm not so sure it would take a whole lot of time for the Government to see what's up. I believe they are expecting this. They would be fools if they aren't. We have to gather and organize. If I was in charge there would be no alcohol or party supplies. This is NOT a party or vacation. We have to be taken seriously. We have to look as professional as possible. Please, tell me where we are going to gather!

NO VIOLENCE!
Those are union tactics, and most of us here do not support union tactics. Besides violence will land you in jail, and how is that productive? -
A lot of folks cannot wait until May 1. I venture to guess that hundreds if not a thousand one truck or small companies are going out of business every week. -

Seems to me that if we want the general population to sit up and take notice, and therefore support changes for truckers, only one group of drivers needs to pull over for three days, and this country would come to a screeching halt:
The drivers who deliver gasoline.
There are probably plenty of supplies of food and clothing to last through whatever length of time truckers think it might take to get the point across. But if people CAN'T get gas for their cars, they can't get to work, and they can't make a living - it kind of puts them in the same situation as truckers. (Or, for gas stations that DO have gas, watch the price skyrocket, not unlike diesel fuel.) In the meantime, if other truckers would contribute a small amount to support those that deliver gas while their trucks sit idle, it wouldn't hurt one group, since they woud have the support of all the other drivers who can't afford to, or won't, park it up for a few days.
I know there is public transportation out there, and some would take advantage of it to get to work, but Americans are so tied to having the freedom to come and go in their own cars, I think it would make an impact. And it would also have the benefit of cutting into oil company profits; not a lot, but it would make a point there, too. Heck, we could even say it's being done to help the American people. I've had the emails sent to me numerous times about not using the car for one day to show those big oil companies a thing or two.
I'm sure I'm not thinking of points here, but it's just a thought. -
That will be the only way to shut down big company drivers. You know they don't care if diesel goes through the roof. Their company buys thousands of gallons at a time at reduced prices. I guess you compete with JB, Schneider, Swift, and US Express? I can't and won't! If you want to label it as union tactics....OK. Your soft and supple ways will get us NOWHERE. I would be willing to bet, someones going to jail anyway. Don't be scared. As far as productivity, WE WILL HAVE TO SACRIFICE TO OBTAIN OUR GOALS. Do you think we can do this all meek like and ask them to lower fuel prices? Like that would happen. We been asking, it falls on deaf ears. Your way doesn't work. Park your truck or trucks and let people like me take care of it. I knew I would step on toes like yours. You don't have to agree with me. I'm telling you how to make it work. -
Violence is not the way to solve anything! Period. And let me tell you, if it turns violent, you are going lose alot of support, in places you need it. And I will be one of the ones who will cease to support it, if it turns violent.

Don't get me wrong. I don't want anybody to get hurt. I'm talking about tires, air lines, and so on. When I mention violence I don't mean string someone up and skin them. I don't want anything close to that. Drivers will do what they are told. I just want to make it difficult for them to do it. That's all. Nobody is to get hurt!
