Do you bobtail at all at Melton or are you always hooked to a trailer?

I've bobtail ed once. Dropped loaded trailer in Laredo and bobtailed to Laredo yard.

What size refrigerator will work in the T660 or Cascadia? I'm thinking about buying a 3.3 ft tall refrigerator/freezer from Wal-Mart.

We'll I been having a hard time to get home for death in the family. But I got that load home and the people at Melton say as soon as I turn this truck in I can start working for them. Should make it home by Saturday and I give them a call then.

I was assuming he meant drop loaded trailers and go to the next shipper and pick up a loaded one. Drop and hook type work.

No, didn't mean that, know that it is very unusual to do drop and hook as a flatbed hauler.

Drop and hook stuff isn't too rare with Melton. There are a lot of times you might drop a loaded trailer and grab an empty or loaded one at one of the terminals. It happened a lot around Christmas, which Melton guarantees every driver to be home for (unless you ask not to be). You'll drop a load going to some city another guy lives in and pick up a load going to or through where you live for your home time. We do a lot of repowers, too, which is taking loads from other drivers who either can't deliver or are being routed home. I've done plenty of those so far. But yeah, there are definitely many more regular loads.

In other news, I finally got to eat at a burger place I've been dying to try. Burgatory in Pittsburgh, PA! I used to deliver to a restaurant in the same shopping center when I did foodservice work, but never had time to stop in there with that job. Well, I delivered and had an hour of time left to get somewhere here and parked at the Wal-Mart in the same lot. One of the best burgers I've ever had. 5 hours later and I'm STILL full!
