Buffets

Ugh. I never go on I30. Will have to file that for the future.

 

tas have good buffets.....stay away from the carbs...ive lost 40 pounds in 2013

 

Restricting carbs will result in restricted insulin production and the end result of that is a loss of water and muscle tissue. I don't doubt that you've lost weight but my best guess is you are still fat. The only way to properly reduce fat is to burn more calories than you consume.

I can only remember being in one truck stop buffet, and very few truck stop restaurants (I am NOT counting chain restaurants which happen to be in truck stops, such as Denny's).

Far better to walk a block or two and go to a real restaurant, or find one near someplace you can park.

Even better is to have a good inverter to power a microwave and a hot plate. With those and a decent-sized ice chest, you can eat BETTER and for about 1/4 the cost.

 

BTW, the best buffet with truck parking is at Grand Sierra Resort Casino in Reno, Nevada.

 

I eat the buffets at petro/ta a lot....good food....watch the carbs and you wont gain weight.

 

I like the Sunday brunch buffet at the Petro in Vegas.

 

Petro sure is hellbent on killing off chickens. I bet they even have a secret back room where the chickens spend their lives in total confinement—from the moment they hatch until the day they are served.
