Hard to say truck was bought from a guy that died. Customer bought it and drove it straight into shop and we overhauled it. Never saw the truck before that time and only heard it run for maybe 30 seconds. It could have been doing it forever.
-
Oh ok...but since you had it overhauled I'm pretty sure it's one of those two sensors or may be even both. The sensors are pretty cheap from Freightliner...I would suggest you changing those first then we can go on from there.
-
Why not just hook it up to dddl and see what the ecm is reading as far as sensors
-
It won't show sensor errors through DDDL because the voltage input and output must be out of range which will trigger a code then reflect there but I see what you are saying allan.
-
It will show anything that is reading out. I'm not talking about codes.
-
Yes I know what you are saying. But if the sensor is shaky, its going to affect what DDDL shows you because DDDL displays what the sensor is telling the ECM. Unless if SmellFunny measures the current outside temperature before cranking the truck then verify the figures with DDDL
-
My 14l blows tons of white smoke on cold start ups. I had it overhauled at a million miles and it still does it.
-
Check the same sensors i mentioned in the previous post...the same applies to your motor. Did you change the injectors with the overhaul?
-
Yes I have had many sets of injectors put in. I will check sensors
