Ask your fm to add those empty miles onto your next load. You deserve to get paid for them and your fm will have to add that on.

Like that other dude said, get those empty miles added onto your next dispatch. Then you should ask for a better FM. If your bunk heater didn't work they should have gotten you to a hotel, or a bunk room. If they don't have the ability to tell their FOM that you need a hotel, and not back down they aren't doing enough for you. Right is right and wrong is wrong, it's their job to push for you to get the things you need. It's also their job to pick and choose the battles that are worth fighting. This one is worth fighting, in the early summer when it's 75 out and your air doesn't work, they should probably just make you suffer for a few days, but when it's getting close to 90+ and not cooling off at night they need to take up the fight again.

Eatin a big pile of boiled peanuts in Cowpens, SC.

Going much better today. Got an empty with no problem. Went to shipper and preloaded trailer was all ready to go and they had an on sight scale. Now all I have to do is drive today and tomorrow and lay-up for a Monday morning delivery.

    Meltom and Bayle Thank this.

THE reason I am not upset im not welcome up there...leave Canada to the Canadiens.

    ummmm

once your under trailer and pin handle has tried to go in, DO NOT pull it out. at most push on it to verify it is all the way in.

one of the students at NETTS a few weeks ahead of my class dropped a trailer in the NH DMV lot because he was nervously checking things before testing out and had pulled out on the 5th wheel handle. (he says he only pulled it out a smidge....)

we all got to see the email and pics the troopers sent to the school. :/

Gary TA for the night, FMs made this load a relay to Neenah (FAV terminal) tomorrow so I wont have to sit till Monday to del in Green Bay. :)

OK, I see where that could have been confusing. I didn't mean pull the handle all the way out. What I meant was more of a freeing motion, back & forth and then pushing it home and do the final check with a flashlight.

This is what I was shown on the new International fifth wheel when I was issued the truck and it has been working for me.

Oh yeah, 513 miles today and no problems. I even listened to some awesome Bluegrass music while going through Ashville, NC the bluegrass capital of the world. Great day!
