That sucks about the partner, sounds to me like there was more than meets the eye going on there.
Best advice I can give you is to start rat holeing every dime you can get your hands on, get some money built up so if things continue to go south you have a cushion to bounce on.
There are lots of driving jobs out there right now, easier to find one however when you are currently employed.
My teammate just bailed. I am devastated.

Off the subject.... clear out your PM folder!

Just to add even more fun developments to this timeline -- Guess who wants to come back and team? He started texting me again today. He has got to be kidding. I've been driving and working on the perfect 'when will you flake out next' response. I told him when he left that I wasn't waiting around. He chose to leave instead of working with everything management offered him.
If you have any of your own, feel free to add them. I seriously doubt this company is going to bother with him after the games he's already played. I am going for one and done. One good response and then I am blocking him out of all inboxes.mje Thanks this. -
why bother, just block his number and move on. Sometimes you just have to say the heck with it and worry about yourself.

Whst I'd like to say to him pbly would not be allowed on this forum.
The perfect response to him would be...
"Get lost".

All done. Moving on with life.

It depends on your carrier and truck owner. I have 3 expedited straight trucks. There isn't any $$$ for the owner running a solo for certain.
I usually let the driver continue as solo while I find a co-driver for him.
Depends a lot on where you live for home time consideration.Criminey Jade and mje Thank this. -
I'm sorry you aren't with USX. My last team member drove 8 hours to my 11 and we split the checks equally, I had to bail and am now solo. Plus my company won't let me be Owner Op Solo. Any chance you're near North Florida?
mje Thanks this. -
True Dat! I had a Trainer (So Called) who did nothing but scream and swear for 6 days solid. He swore at me when I wouldn't run stop signs (He said it was okay as long as you were a tractor! I have 3 years as LEO and never heard that before). He hit a curb at 73,000 pounds on ice while trying to Text message, etc. I bailed out (Literally!) near Chicago, thankfully the company got me a new trainer who actually trained.
I'm now in my 9th month of driving for a company I truly like, but looking for female Co Driver with good attitude.DedicatedDriver and born&raisedintheusa Thank this. -
Sorry for the turn of events for both of you. Hopefully your co-driver will get great news and you will have worked your problem out. If you don't mind, one thing i was always confused about is this. It is tough enough to grind out a living as a solo o/o, doing expediting but how does it work out with a 3-way split?? truck owner and 2 drivers?
mje Thanks this.
