I feel so stupid

Do you even drive an 18 semi? I've never heard of there being a park (P) on a big rig automatic. They have N, but no P. There may be a trans i haven't heard of, but 80,000 pounds against a park gear isnt super smart even if it does have a "P".

I started driving in the 70's and am still learning . Something to think about.

 

I started driving in 1966. I stopped counting at 4 million miles. I still learn things in this industry, especially with these new truck. Just about the time you think you know it all, like some on here, you will crash and burn, just hope you don't take some one else with you when you go.

 

I never said I'll stop learning, but I'm not in school and thus not a student. I learn from observation, and talking to drivers as colleges, not a their student.

 

Boy...........sure is nice to have my own authority, Don't have to worry about getting canned for anything. I do as I please, long as the load get to point B as its requested. And......haul for ANY broker I pick with those nice rates. Better yet, THEY LOOK FOR ME........

Yea i;ll get there eventually, but seeing as Authority, customer relations (in trucking), and brokers are areas where I have almost no expertise I need to learn more about that part of the industry before i jump in.

 

Idk If I leave it in gear accidently and try to start it , the starter does not seem inhibited , but when the engine fires it gets inhibited. I think you got something else going on and you did not ruin your starter. If It aint goin to get warmer any time soon, you probably need to tow it to a garage.

 

your current driving record? you must have more than just the 5 over speeding ticket. with what folks post about tmc, kind of surprised they would hire you before a all o/o outfit
