Look for terminals or shippers and receivers with street parking. I live in philly and street park on a side street right outside a big shipping port. Tons of trucks there, great visibility from main road. 5 min away. FREE!!! If they have street parkign the business near it cant control who parks there. In some cases you can ask a police what streets are legal to park your rig. Some wallmarts let you, some are donkey about it. Some times churchs are looking for extra income and will allow you to park in the back of the lot cheap. if thye have an oversized lot and are struggling to pay the mortgage, they might strike up a deal.
Where do you park your rig while on home time?

If you are working for a company with a shop, I'd park it there and commute. Hopefully they will do repairs while you are home so it won't cost you any extra downtime.
I either park mine on my land or I leave it with a shop for repairs when I'm home. -
op shop is 100miles away

In my assigned parking space in the company yard, the same place I park it every night

I live in Schenectady, NY and am having a difficult time finding a place to park my truck. I have tried Walmart, Target, Lowes, Home Depot, Hannaford, Price Chopper, shopping malls and a couple shippers/receivers. No one will let me park anywhere for more than 24 hours, but I am home 4-5 days every 5 weeks. I can't keep moving my truck on my days off. My "nearest" terminal is in Olathe, KS. So commuting is impossible.
I can try churches and Old Dominion has a terminal nearby. But other than that, I don't know where else to look. Even the rv storage places are too small (I have to take the trailer home too). -
This is why I was warned to work only for companies with a yard near my house. It's their truck. It needs maintenance and I need time off. I babysit, or did, that truck all week long.
In school every time some trucking company recruiter said "and we will even let you take your truck home on the weekends" too many other students thought that was a selling point. It's not, it's an burden you have to deal with. Wait until your truck is vandalized while it's parked during your hometime. -
Talk to a farmer....offer money... -
I stayed at a Super8 over by the round-a-bout. They have truck parking. He might let you park there if you pay him...maybe. Nice people there. Come to think of it it could be Rotterdam?? US7 by 146

Either at the company yard or at a recievers near my house.
Just depends on if I need maintenance done or not.
However in my area several land owners have opened up several truck parking areas for 10$ a night.
