Congrats on the gig @ Walmart. I've tried many times just can't get that letter. Oh well enjoying my time at JBS so hopefully one day I'll get to drive one of those white trucks one day.

Stacks most of the JBS drivers here haul the boxed product. Not sure how the cattle haulers get paid or not. Probably like you said by percentage. I know we bought XL Beef out in Alberta. They were asking some of the drivers about going up into Canada. But guess not many wanted to so they stopped asking. Well time for bed. KW almost has 10,000 miles on it and seems like all I do is the West now. Farthest east I have been is Laporte Texas and then back to Cali. But from all the nasty weather in the mid west and East I don't mind it one bit.

I heard that JBS wanted to open a truck driving school over in Ireland. I used to drive for them and still keep in contact with a few drivers so I still get the gossip that goes around. LOL

I had a phone interview with JBS out of Cactus for cattle hauling...the pay was 200 dollars a day...no percent or miles or loads...just a flat 200 a day.

Well I spoke to soon. They finally have me headed east. Get to go to Detroit. Wow this K Wopper which is about to put on its 10,000th mile gets to see the mid west. Well guess it's about time to head that way. A nice 1600 mile load that delivers Wednesday. That I picked up today(Sunday) in Hyrum. Think I will carry this load over for the next week since I already have 2800 miles for the week. Carried over a 1700 mile load from the last check that's why I have so many miles for this week. Well time to get rolling Ya'll be good now ya hear.

Thanks! Its is all that any Walmart driver tells you and more. Best part is being home every week, oh and no snow as I am in FL. Walmart is all about safety. The more safe miles you have the better.

Just a heads up everyone, JBS is doing a mass layoff of drivers. I was told a couple days ago, when they were showing me the door, they are laying off all drivers that either do not live within 50 miles of one of the beef plants or do not live off of I-80. This, however, is only their claim. I offered to relocate and they said "no". I talked to a former dispatcher and was told about others being termed and it seemed, every driver had been with JBS for some time or was at top of the pay scale, was being axed.
what I find funny is, like most experienced drivers, I wanted to leave JBS due to the fact that they are one screwed up company. So, while showing me the door, they gave me $1000 in severance and shipped my gear home for me.
So thank you Becky and Darin, if it wasn't for your complete incompetence, I wouldn't be laughing my #%^ off all they way home.

Wow Guess I'll be fired as well come Monday. SMH such a screwed up company but you offered to relocate. Why oh why can't drivers learn to be more believable?

:biggrin_2551:I tried to give every body that was still driving for JBS a heads up last fall, that's what happened to the southeast regional drivers.:biggrin_2551: Most were terminated with 1000.00 severance to go away.:yes2557: I knew this would start spreading west as JBS goes thru some growth pains. Exactly what is JBS up to ? Who knows... I still drive for them locally out of Pilgrim's and I'm paid by the day. Home every night, I'm not complaining, some days I may work 4 hours and some 10-12 hour days. And for some of you diehard JBS thread fans, LINDA HAS LEFT THE BUILDING !!!! LOL:biggrin_2559:

I know Jbs terminated me for "company policy" of using a phone while driving. No accident no tickets for the two years I was with them but dialing a number while driving led to immediate termination. I truly believe it was a way for them to get rid of a Florida driver but who really knows. I do know it was shady to say the least. That being said I talked with my friend that still works with them and he said he got a 3 qc message today and part of it said that they plan to put cameras in all of the trucks pretty soon. If you get a camera in your truck take my advice and don't use your phone for nothing while driving as I am proof it wont take much for them to let you go because of it.

Ofcourse after ig ot the boot randy and linda leave, that's just my luck lol.
