Unless hes a felon there's no need for Carolina Cargo. .10 per mile and driving old equipment teaming with a felon? No thanx.

Hmmm... Maybe times have changed, might want to give Stevens a "Shout Out". Quite a few years ago I used a Avotec-Grant to pay for a local CDL school while on leave and still on active duty. I retired from the Army which was 7 months after I earned my CDL and Stevens at the time just had me prove myself that I wasn't RUSTY by doing the road test evaluation...I passed, so I was not forced into there $refresher course. Long Story short after 7 months with Stevens I moved on to greener pastures.

US Xpress will probably hire you.

Depends on the circumstances. Some drivers are tough and do what is necessary to enter the workforce; they have my respect. Anyone with better recommendations should post them. Some of these drivers are asking for help; so let's do it!Last edited: Feb 9, 2014

I like ya. You know that. But Carolina Cargo is not helping. Rather hurting. Carolina Cargo is there for the complete screw ups. The ones who couldn't behave as adults and got caught and now need a last resort. And they are treated that way. This guy only didn't go to work right away. I love ya man. You know that. But there's no way I would send anyone to the closest thing to trucking prison there is: Carolina Cargo.pattyj and wonderdog24 Thank this.

Give these a try. They might help you find someone to hire you. You might even find local work, right off the bat. -
I agree with Chinatown, help ppl but at least warn them about certain companies selected.

You need your apps in immediately. Pretty much every company listed here (yes swift and werner too), spend the evening and put the apps in. Talk to your school. If you just graduated a few months ago, they may be willing to give you a few rides, call it a refresher, then you'll just be back to the problem of which company to choose. Also, cjeck with your school about placement. Biggest school in the state probably has a placement director. His job all day os helping people pick starter companies, he knows who you can/should apply for. Another good reason for this is some companies prefer or nees paper apps instead of an online one, and the placement director will inclue all the necessary paperwork and forms the company will want as well.
