Question... Do you know if someone already has a truck, can they sign on to JCT? I might have already asked this question, but can't remember the answer :biggrin_2554:

Yes, absolutely. There was a truck owner in one of my orientations who drove a Volvo to the yard. Owner operators get the same deal that lease drivers have (copied from the JCT website):

    • Fuel Surcharge – Loaded and Empty Miles
    • Fuel Tax
    • Base Plates
    • Permits
    • Lumpers
    • Tolls
    • Reefer Fuel
    • Scales
    • Prepass
    • Oklahoma Pike Pass
    • Easy Pass
    • TripPak Express

The ONLY Thing O/O’s are Responsible for is the 2290 (Road Taxes)

Sitting in Yuma waiting on my load to get picked. Got a little trip to Denver. Good news is that I'm building up some hours on the logbook, lol.

Did I read a few pages back that one of the new guys got truck 3011?

If so I saw you rolling east on 78 near 287, mm26.

I'm curious to see what those T680s are getting for fuel economy. Although when I'm ready to pull the trigger I think I'd go with a Freightliner because of the availability of getting service.

I ran into Trafficcontrolxl at the terminal during orientation. Great guy, full of good info and an awesome attitude to boot.

Edit: In other news, I picked out my truck today. '14 Cascadia Evo w/ 103k miles. :biggrin_25519:

Finally done with the online orientation... ughhhh. I will admit being able to do it without the interruptions of a live class is a huge bonus. I had my report date moved to Monday Feb 17. Hopefully someone will be around to shoot the breeze next week. :)
