Fueling is "On duty". Best to "Post-trip/fuel" then put 'er to bed. Now, you're ready to roll in the morning, just make sure your "neighbor" doesn't siphon your full tanks when you're sleeping.

Flagged event with notation you paid a kid 5 bucks to hold the fuel nosslerex0325 Thanks this.

Does a fuel receipt from a truckstop have the date and time? Before you kill me let me explain. We fuel our trucks only at Ryder shops and there is a time and date on it but it's rarely correct usually off a few hours. Sometimes the dates are nowhere near close. Can be off 2 days or more. They use an old system.

Flagged events are still a change of duty status, and since fueling is always on duty any such event is on-duty. Flagging simply identifies a change of duty status of less than 15 minutes.

and hence the notation that you paid someone else to do the fuelling.
-
You're still ultimately responsible for the vehicle, and time spent in a supervisory status is still on-duty.

If using a payment card like ComData it will show up in the Raid System, that's why. If you fueled paying cash you could prolly get away with it, but using a card for a company will show up.

Technically, you guys may be right. But unless your getting fuel in the middle of your 10 hour break I think you're splitting hairs unnecessarily. If it's within an hour of either end of your 10 hour break it's not worth sweating it.

Well, like CondoCruiser mentioned, federal log auditors want your times within an hour.
You company, however, is another story. They can choose to go above and beyond if they so desire in the name of CYA.Northern Lights Thanks this.
