No 34 hour reset for you, it's been interrupted.

I'm not sure what your avail hours look like this week but there's always next week right..?

Yup. That makes sense. I went ahead and logged it 15 minutes on duty with PTI and DVIR, then back to sleeper. Now I just got to finagle a reset break at home if possible.

Yes, I can float hrs for for a while. Hopefully, I can make it to the house for the restart.

I didn't have a time, only "tonight." I fueled at 18:00, as I was preparing to drive 22 miles to the shipper. While collecting the fuel receipt, I got a text (no qualcom for me) from dispatch informing me that that the shipper could not load me until the a.m.

Ah! Good move, but I went off duty the previous day unfortunately. As fuel receipts don't have the time, only the date, I suspect I need only match the date on my logs. That doesn't help me here either, though.

Yes. I do float hrs a lot. But a restart is a good thing when you can get it, especially if you have a couple of short days back-to-back cramping your style.

Plenty of time for a full break after, fortunately. It just would have been nice to re-up my 70 since I sat all that time.

No kidding! I had that happen once. I didn't notice I was low on fuel until I got down the road a ways, lol!

    Ha! Now that is clever!

Oh! I was replying to posts and forgot to put the quotes lol

Until our Uncle Sugar went and got all anal about using electronics for log enforcement this wouldn't even be an issue.

Never cheat your logs. NEVER cheat your logs. You never know when it will turn around and bite you, but when it does will be some time that you really can't afford either the fine or the down time.

That's not to say that you shouldn't work the system, but you need to make sure that whatever you do, you can prove that it was within the regs.

Fueling is ON DUTY. Even if you "pay some kid to fuel," you're still on duty because you're responsible for the truck -- you drove it to the pump, you deal with the paperwork and you drive away. If the OP had been paying attention, he would have fueled the next morning.
