If you run correctly you can make what the recruiter is saying ($700 is more realistic than $900), and you also need to factor in your live load pay which is $13.50 too. I average around $800/week. Now, this is slow freight season and that means things are slower now. Getting your load sent to you, miles are down a bit, so remember the recruiters numbers are probably based on the peak freight season.

Thanks! I am from Swainsboro, Ga so I will assume I will be running out of the Savannah terminal as well. Again thanks for all the info, I have two little girls so the fact that they honor their home time was a huge selling point!

I have two little boys and that's why I run with CT. I know I can make more
money elsewhere, but home time and their fuel anywhere anytime policy keeps me here.

they sound like a good company. my instructor is the one who turned me on to them. i was looking for something local in logging or rocks, but no exp. makes it hard. both my mother and father have about thirty years each under their belts. i was raised in a truck till about age 4.
i know how it can be not to see your dad for a week or two at the time. i was trying to avoid that but, oh well. maybe after a year i can get a local route or try the o/o thing.

I grew up similar. My dad hauled the really big stuff. Really big and was gone often. I'm retired military, so I do what I can to be home as often as I can.

I wish I would have stayed with the army. I got stuck in processing for three weeks at Ft. Benning. I found out my Dad was in the hospital, plus I was getting anxious just sitting there. I told them I had asthma processed out, biggest mistake of my life. I have tried for years to go back, I even tried all the paperwork with ABRA to change my code of JFW. Anyway thanks again for the info. You are a life saver!
P.S. My Dad was navy too, he said the other branches called them "pier queers" lol!

Yeah he was a mess I miss him. Anyway I am sure you have better things to than sit on here with me. Be safe driver, I heard about some possible ice storms.
